2025/26 Student Editor: Megan Meade is a sophomore at Webster University-Saint Louis with a keen interest in the humanities and strong passions from human rights and environmental sustainability. She looks forward to studying abroad and gaining new perspectives on world cultures and global issues. In addition to her academic interests and love for travel, Meade also enjoys spending time outdoors, baking, and making handmade jewelry.

May 2026 Student Reviewer: Elias Tannous is an independent filmmaker from Waterloo IL, studying Film and Television Production at Webster University – Saint Louis. Raised in a Palestinian American household, they work to highlight under-represented stories that challenge audiences’ preconceptions. While their work varies in genre, their commitment to authenticity remains the same.

2026/27 Student Editors:

  • Layla Halilbasic is a first-generation Bosnian American who is studying journalism and pursuing a paralegal certificate at Webster University – Saint Louis. Halilbasic was a reporting fellow for the Fulcrum, senior editor for Webster’s student magazine, reporting intern for the Webster-Kirkwood Times, staff writer for Webster’s student newspaper, and is now a production assistant at St. Louis Public Radio. When she isn’t working, she’s likely entertaining Lola, her spirited tabico cat, or feeding her not-so-secret love of Wicked.
  • Kelsey Kozuszek is a third year International Relations and Language/Transcultural Studies double major at Webster University – Saint Louis. She is a proud executive team member of the History, Politics, and International Relations Club, which focuses on promoting cultural and historical celebrations alongside educational activities for the “HPIR” department. She is also a board member of Webster’s United Nations Association Chapter, works extensively with Amnesty International, and conducts research primarily on international maritime law.
  • Natalie Polach is a transfer student at Webster University – Saint Louis who is majoring in Media Studies and minoring in International Human Rights. She chose to join the Righting Wrongs editorial team because she wants to get more involved with her school and learn more about human rights overall.

Faculty Editor

Lindsey Kingston is Professor of International Human Rights at Webster University. She serves as Director of the Institute for Human Rights and Humanitarian Studies, which includes overseeing the undergraduate human rights program. Kingston earned her Ph.D. from Syracuse University’s Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs and is the author of Fully Human: Personhood, Citizenship, and Rights (Oxford University Press).
