DescriptionBike Shop Sponsor: Bike Surgeon Registration: 7:30 – 9:00 AM Start: Mills Apple Farm 11477 Pocahontas Rd. Marine, IL 62061 Route: 22, 32, 38 or 53 miles Terrain: Flat to gently rolling, no big hills Features: Take this pleasant pedal along orchard rows and through the countryside. Then return to the farm where you can purchase orchard fresh fruit, pies fresh from the oven and other baked treats. Directions: From IL-4 and IL-143 go east on IL-143 to Marine. Go left on N. Duncan St. then right onto Pocahontas Rd. and follow to Mills Apple Farm. Fees: $8 Member, $13 Non-member, $3 Child

Route: 16, 29, 41 or 53 miles
Terrain: Flat with some small hills
Features: This is a pleasant pedal through the German-settled countryside. After the ride, enjoy the food, drinks, games and displays that are part of Mascoutah’s annual German Heritage Festival.
Directions: From I-64 and IL-4, go south on IL-4 for 4 miles to Harnett St. Turn right and follow one-half mile to the park. Follow the signs to the “Bike Rider Parking Area.”
Fees:$8 Member, $13 Non-member, $3 Child

Gateway MS RIDE—September 8-9

If you haven’t yet signed up for TEAM WEBSTER WORKS for the September 8-9 Gateway MS Ride, you can do so at www.gatewaymsbikeride.org

 Hotel in Columbia

Remember that hotels are scarce, given MIZZOU’s first Southeast Conference game.  A block of rooms have been reserved at the refurbished La Quinta–$331.84 for the weekend, tax included (two beds).  Contact Ken Nickless if you wish to reserve a room or a bed.  Ride site camping is also available for free!  Arrangements have been made for the team tent—the perfect place to chill following each day’s ride!

 Team Jerseys

Team members signed up for the Gateway MS or any charity ride can obtain Team Webster Works Jerseys (full zipper) for $20.  Jerseys are available to others for $50.  Contact Ken Nickless or Rachel Johnes at racheljohnes25@webster.edu, to obtain yours!
