5th Annual Sustainability Institute for Educators: ‘Empowering Young Citizens’ June 23-25

At this year’s institute, speakers and hands-on workshops will focus on increasing awareness of sustainability issues, identifying the potential for young students to take responsibility for solutions, and helping educators generate and plan for student participation for sustainable communities.

The 5th annual Sustainability Institute for Educators, “Empowering Young Citizens for Sustainable Communities,” will take place June 23-25 at Mary Institute and Country Day School of St Louis (MICDS).

Madison County of Illinois Green Schools has provided funds for scholarships. Any school or organization sending three or more participants will only pay half the fee of $150 ($75).

The annual event is sponsored by Webster University School of Education, Earthways at Missouri Botanical Garden, St. Louis Zoo, USGBC Missouri Gateway Chapter, Madison Country of Illinois Green Schools, and Mary Institute and Country Day School of St Louis.
