New GM for Campus Dining

Octavio A. Pino has been selected as the new general manager for Campus Dining Services at Webster University on the home campus in Webster Groves. He will start on Monday, March 23.

Pino brings over 30 years of professional food service experience. Previously, Octavio worked for Sodexo as general manager for the Francis Howell School District for nine years, general manager at Maryville University for five years, general manager for Concordia Seminary for six years, and in a variety of management and catering roles at Saint Louis University for twelve years.

He has a strong interest in the culinary side of the food service business, and his education includes a certificate in low fat and health cuisine from the Culinary Institute of America.

Community Member and Father of a Webster Alum

Pino resides just a few blocks from the Webster Groves campus and knows Webster well, having had a daughter graduate from the University in 2012.

Octavio joins the Campus Dining Services (Sodexo) management team that includes Cheri Hicks, catering director, and Jonathan Kraft, executive chef.

Campus Dining Services operates Marletto’s Marketplace; the University Center Crossroads food court featuring Freshen’s Crepes and Smoothies, the World of Wings (WOW) Café, and Sandella’s Flatbread Café; two Simply-to-Go units in Sverdrup and East Academic Building; the Library Café featuring Kaldi’s; and catering.
