Webster’s Blair SLIAC Men’s Tennis Player of the Week

Webster University junior Travis Blair was named the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) Men’s Tennis Player of the Week for Feb. 23-March 1. Blair becomes the first SLIAC Tennis Player of the Week for 2015.
Blair went 3-1 on the week, including a pair of wins at #1 singles. He started the week with an impressive 6-1, 6-3 win against North Central College, accounting for one of two wins in a 7-2 loss for the Gorloks.
He followed with a 6-3, 6-2 win against his counterpart at Dominican University, helping the Gorloks pick up a 6-3 victory. Blair’s straight set win was the only one singles match in the contest that was not determined by a tie-breaker set.
In addition, he notched an 8-4 win at #2 doubles in the team’s win against Dominican.
This is Blair’s third nod as Player of the Week, having previously received honors in both 2013 and 2014.
