President Beth Stroble welcomed students, faculty and staff on Dec. 4 for the trimming of the Global Holiday Tree, an annual tradition for the holiday season. Guests enjoyed festive ornament-shaped sugar cookies and cider punch after placing an ornament on the tree and adding to the paper wishing chain.

The Global Holiday Tree celebrates the rich diversity of Webster University’s worldwide network during the holiday season. Ornaments were donated from around the global Webster community, with each telling of the traditions from each locale.

The tree is on display throughout the month of December in the staircase window between the first and second floors in the University Center. Stop by and see it in person!

Members of the Webster community also inscribed their wishes for 2015, creating a wishing chain for the tree.
