Dean’s Award Recipients Named for Fall I

Four students have been selected to receive the Dean’s Award for Service for Fall I: The award recipients are: Katy Barry, Gabrielle Deimeke, Ethan Stohs and Caroline Wiley.

In order to be considered for the Dean’s Award one must be nominated by a member of the Webster University community for performing a valuable service. The term “service” encompasses a broad range of contributions made by students, both on- and off-campus.

Katy Barry, a senior psychology major from St. Louis, was nominated by Jennifer Stewart, director of the office of student engagement. She was nominated for her leadership in researching and preparing a presentation on behalf of RHA at the Sept. 18 Webster Groves City Council meeting to advocate for students’ perspectives on the proposed Webster Groves educational zoning ordinance.

Gabrielle Deimeke, a junior photography major from Auxvasse, Missouri, was nominated by Jennifer Stewart, director of the office of student engagement. She was nominated for her leadership in researching and preparing a presentation on behalf of SGA at the Sept. 18 Webster Groves City Council meeting to advocate for students’ perspectives on the proposed Webster Groves educational zoning ordinance.

Ethan Stohs, a sophomore audio production major from Omaha, Nebraska, was nominated by Jennifer Stewart, director of the office of student engagement. He was nominated for his leadership in researching and preparing a presentation on behalf of RHA at the Sept. 18 Webster Groves City Council meeting to advocate for students’ perspectives on the proposed Webster Groves educational zoning ordinance.

Caroline Wiley, a junior educational studies and media communications double major from St. Louis, was nominated by Jennifer Stewart, director of the office of student engagement. She was nominated for her leadership in researching and preparing a presentation on behalf of SGA at the Sept. 18 Webster Groves City Council meeting to advocate for students’ perspectives on the proposed Webster Groves educational zoning ordinance.

Up to four students are recognized each term with the Dean’s Service Award. The awards will be presented at a luncheon to be held Oct. 31.
