Students, Community Friends Kick Off International Friendship Program’s 3rd Year

The Webster University International Friendship Program’s third year includes 40 student and 40 community friend participants.

The third Webster University International Friendship Program launched with 40 student and 40 community friend participants. The fall kickoff was successfully attended by more than people, including President Beth Stroble and her family, who have joined the program for this year.

International Friendship Program

The program matches international students with members from the local community to promote open exchange of cultural experiences, customs and ideas.

Through this informal program, international students are matched with members from the local community and enjoy interactions to promote the open exchange of cultural experiences, customs and ideas.

Community members enjoy the satisfaction of making a significant contribution to the success of the international students’ time in the U.S.

2014 Participants Include Visiting Faculty, Reps throughout Webster

Participants include our visiting faculty from Harbin University, students on the Obirin ESL exchange program, Kansai University exchange, University of Oviedo, Hungarian American Educational Partnership, and one of our Department of International Languages & Cultures teaching assistants.

Community friends include President Stroble, current U.S. students from all disciplines and levels including the Teaching English as a Second Language program, Webster University faculty and staff from the College of Arts and Sciences, School of Communications, George Herbert Walker School of Business & Technology, Faculty Development Center, Student Affairs, Westport campus location, Finance Department, and the Bursar’s Office, community members connected with Rotary Club, Webster Groves School District, Lighthouse Christian Fellowship, and International Student Ministry.
