Kurich Named ‘Coach of the Year’ for Central Region

In addition to five players on the Webster University baseball team earning d3baseball.com All-Central Region honors–with three being named to the first team–head coach Bill Kurich took home Central Region Coach of the Year honors for a second straight season.

This marks Kurich’s third time being named the All-Central Region Coach of the Year. He has earned the honor in 2008, 2013, and 2014. Kurich was also the 2014 SLIAC Coach of the Year.

Seniors center fielder Corey Lasky, second baseman Taylor Stoulp and designated hitter Joe Winckel were named to the All-Central Region First Team. Junior pitcher Isaac Behme was named to the All-Central Region Second Team after posting an 8-1 record and a 3.52 ERA, and freshman pitcher C.J. Lee was named to the All-Central Region Third Team.

Webster, which reached the #1 ranking entering into the NCAA III Regional, finished the season 37-7.
