Twelve instructors from Webster Geneva and Webster Vienna — plus a Global Staff Exchange guest from St. Louis — hoped to establish a new tradition while collaborating on a Writing and English workshop.

For the first time, English and Writing instructors from Webster Vienna and Webster Geneva gathered for collaboration at a workshop, “The Trans-disciplinary Functions of the English Programs.”

Samia Geldner, department head of English at the Webster Vienna campus, organized the workshop in collaboration with Abbott Chrisman of Webster Geneva.

Joining 12 instructors from Webster Vienna and Webster Geneva was a special guest from St. Louis.

Roshaunda Cade, writing center coordinator for the Academic Resource Center in St. Louis, was in Vienna as a Global Staff Exchange participant, armed with resource documents and plans for collaboration on shared resources and best practices for writing center personnel.

The event started with a reception on Friday evening and concluded in the early afternoon Sunday. Together the group inaugurated a new tradition of productive cooperation among Webster English and/or Writing programs.
