The Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and Webster University Athletics held a variety of events to celebrate NCAA III/Student-Athlete Week April 7-13, shining the light on the purpose of the NCAA III and the athletes themselves throughout the week.

The week concluded with a Baseball “Pack the House” night and canned food drive before the baseball Gorloks’ 3-1 win over Greenville College at GCS Ballpark.

Before the game, Webster University Provost, Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Julian Schuster threw out the ceremonial first pitch.

That game extended the Gorloks’ winning streak, though the streak ended Sunday at 16 games, in a 3-1 loss to Illinois State University in Normal, Ill.
