After an intensive application and interview process, five high school students have been named the 2014 Presidential Scholarship recipients at Webster University.

The largest academic scholarship offered to students at Webster, the Presidential Scholarship is a full tuition award for outstanding undergraduate students who enroll as first-time freshmen. Awards for 2014-2015 will be valued at more than $90,000 over four years. The students also will join past Presidential Scholars and participate in Webster’s LEADS program (http://www.webster.edu/websterleads/index.html).

Congratulations to the winners, who were selected from a pool of 150 applicants based upon demonstrated academic excellence, involvement with school and community and capacity for future contributions as student leaders at Webster. Read about the winners in this webster.edu story.

Congratulations to all five recipients. What majors are they declaring? We’d like to be sure and welcome them when they come to our classes.
