Webster University’s Lakeland campus location held 2013 Commencement ceremonies on Saturday, June 15, at the Magnolia Building in Lakeland, Fla.

The group photo above, from Lakeland campus director Angie Birdwell, captures graduates and several Lakeland faculty members.

Birdwell called the ceremony short, sweet and beautiful as Webster staff and faculty celebrated with new Webster alumni and their families. Birdwell also presented a 10-year faculty award to Lakeland faculty member and Counseling program coordinator Rhett Brandt.

The event was part of commencement ceremonies that happen year-round at Webster campuses around the world. Though May and June are the “busy season” for Webster commencement ceremonies each year, the date and traditions vary by campus location. Worldwide, there are more than 7,2o0 graduating in this year’s graduating class celebrated at individual campus ceremonies.

Worldwide, the Class of 2013 is diverse in background, in demographics, and in interests. They hail from 106 countries and 49 U.S. states plus the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Sixty-four are active military stationed overseas.
