WWW coordinator Heather Arora, center, accepts award from Ready Readers.

Webster Works Worldwide (WWW), Webster University’s yearly community service day program, was named 2013 Outstanding Community Partner by Ready Readers, a St. Louis-based nonprofit organization dedicated to inspiring preschool children from low-income communities to become readers.

The Ready Readers organization has been served by WWW volunteers for the past four years. Students, faculty and staff have packed more than 16,000 books for Ready Readers to give to the children and teachers in their program.

The award was presented to Heather Arora, coordinator of Webster Works Worldwide, at the Ready Readers Volunteer Appreciation Celebration on April 23. Ready Readers executive director Lisa Greening commented on the professionalism and efficiency of the WWW volunteers as well as the fun they had packing the books.
