Conservatory of Theatre Arts Welcomes Joanna Battles

Webster University’s Conservatory of Theatre Arts is pleased to announce that Joanna Battles has accepted an offer for the position of assistant professor in Voice and Speech.

Joanna comes from Louisiana State University (LSU), where she has been the assistant professor of Voice and Speech for the MFA and BA Theatre programs for the past five years.

In addition to her teaching, she was co-head of the Undergraduate Theatre Program, as well as the professional vocal coach in residence for Swine Palace, the Equity Theatre on LSU’s campus. She holds an MFA in Acting from Brown University/Trinity Rep, as well as a BFA in Acting from the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University, and a certification in Fitzmaurice Voicework Program VI.

Joanna is a proud member of Actor’s Equity and has appeared in over 30 productions regionally and in New York City. Please join the Conservatory of Theatre Arts in welcoming Joanna when she assumes her responsibilities in the Fall Semester of 2013.
