Hitchell Accepts New Opportunity

| December 17, 2012

Dan Hitchell, associate vice president for resource planning and budget, has accepted a position with Ohio Wesleyan University, in Delaware, Ohio, where he will serve as vice president for finance and administration and treasurer, and CFO. He will join Ohio Wesleyan in January.

“This is a fantastic opportunity for Dan, who has exhibited leadership, team building and negotiation skills through numerous significant initiatives at Webster,” said Greg Gunderson, vice president and chief financial officer. “Our loss is Ohio Wesleyan’s gain. Dan will be missed.”

During his six years at Webster, Dan played a key role in moving major projects forward. They include helping to bring the $29 million East Academic Building online in 2012, the first new classroom building on Webster’s home campus since 1984; helping to secure long-term bond rating upgrades from Moody’s Investor Service and Fitch Ratings two years in a row; and developing Webster’s global real estate portfolio – including new locations in Vienna, San Antonio and Ghana – helping to secure Webster’s position as a global institution.

Prior to Webster, Dan worked for 15 years at Saint Louis University, where he served as manager and director of financial planning and budgeting.
