Cabaret Student Showcase and Benefit takes place Dec. 10, 11. [Performers names are shown below.]

Webster University theatre students perform a Cabaret Student Showcase and Benefit Monday, Dec. 10 and 11, at 8 p.m., at the Kranzberg Arts Center, 502 N. Grand Blvd. at Olive in St. Louis. Admission is $10. To purchase tickets, go to www.LicketyTix.comor call 314-725-4200, ext. 10.

Under the direction of Conservatory of Theatre Arts faculty members Lara Teeter and Neal Richardson, the graduating cabaret and musical-theatre students will perform a mini-show benefit program with all proceeds going toward spring auditions in New York and Los Angeles.

Also participating are Department of Music chair Jeffrey Carter, Community Music School piano professor Ron McGowan and assistant marketing director for The Muny, Larry Pry.

“I really look forward to the sparkle of this event every year,” says St. Louis impresario Jim Dolan. “Webster’s been the training ground for many a Broadway performer and cabaret artist. The promise is there.”
