Webster Faculty’s ‘Big Bang’ Presentation Part of Vienna Month of Photography

Vienna is celebrating “The Month of Photography: Eyes on” and is currently offering hundreds of exhibit sites and a number of fascinating events in conjunction with this cultural/visual cornucopia.

On Saturday, Nov. 24, 2012, there will be an international symposium (9:30 am to 5 p.m.) “Materialität/Immaterialität in der Fotografie” at the MUSA Museum Startgalerie Artothek, Feldergasse 6-8, 1010 Wien, including contributions from Monica Schwaerzler-Brodesser, head of Webster University Vienna’s department of Art/Visual Culture.

Her presentation is titled, “Zur fotografischen Inszenierung des Big Bang” (a photo representation of the Big Bang).

Artists, curators, art historians and KulturwissenschafterInnen from the U.S., France, Belgium, Germany  and Austria will be part of this exciting intellectual and scholarly event.
