Head coach Luigi Scire gained his 200th career victory as the Webster University women’s soccer team downed Monmouth College (Ill.), 3-0, on Sept. 9 at the Soccer Park. Scire, the only coach in the Gorloks’ 14-year history, joins the exclusive club with the win.

Scire submitted the proposal to institute women’s soccer at Webster in 1999, and was appointed head coach. Scire’s teams jumped out of the starting gate, going 15-4-1 in their inaugural year and following it up with 17-2-2 and 18-1-1, seasons, going 50-7-1 in the span.

His career record is now 200-59-11 and he holds the 15th highest all-time win percentage (.761) in NCAA III women’s history, and the 26th highest all-time for all NCAA women’s divisions.
