W-K Times on SPICE Move to Webster
The Webster-Kirkwood Times featured SPICE and its move to Webster University on the front page of a recent edition. In the feature story quotes Provost and Senior Vice President Julian Schuster discussing how chess fits the University mission: “Chess is a game of space and time, but there is a component in which you need to think fast, be logical and strategic. All of those are necessary ingredients for achieving individual excellence. So, we are just reinforcing what we have committed to do by using chess as a game, a sport and a tool to bring people together.”

The Webster-Kirkwood Times also recently featured a slideshow of the Webster Groves fire and emergency personnel’s use of the University’s Kirk House fort raining and drills. (See this Webster Today post for more on that topic.)
