Information Technology is working to update the Pop email server’s digital certificate, which identifies the server and establishes Webster’s authenticity as a trusted, reliable online entity. During the update process, scheduled to begin today, Wednesday, May 30, at 5 p.m. CDT, email users who send or receive email through the Pop server may encounter security warnings stating that the identity of pop.webster.edu cannot be established.
If you should receive such a warning, you will have the opportunity to continue connecting to the server. Any warnings related to the Pop server will cease after the completion of the update process, which is expected to take approximately 24 hours.
Questions may be directed to the IT Service Desk at 1-866-435-7270 or email@example.com.
