WINS Welcomes Columbia College

| April 30, 2012

The Office of Study Abroad welcomes Columbia College — a private, non-profit, coeducational liberal arts and sciences college based in Columbia, Mo., to the Webster International Network of Schools (WINS) program.

Launer Auditorium, Columbia College

Founded in 1851, Columbia College has been helping students advance their lives through higher education for more than 150 years. Like Webster, Columbia was founded as a women’s college that has grown since its inception; and, continues a tradition of small classes and a belief that the liberal arts and sciences are the basis for lifelong learning.

The college is a member of various study abroad consortiums, and  actively encourages students to explore study abroad opportunities. By joining the WINS program, Columbia has expanded their international programs to include the high-quality study abroad opportunities available through Webster’s international campus network.

With student and faculty interest on the rise, this new partnership is off to a great start. Columbia representatives are invited to join the annual WINS reception to be held in Houston during the Association of International Educators (NAFSA) national conference, this May, and plan to attend the biennial conference scheduled to take place in Thailand, in the summer of 2013.

The WINS program promotes and fosters international mobility opportunities for member institutions who send students to study abroad at one of Webster’s international campuses. For more information, or to get the WINS perspective, visit www.webster.edu/studyabroad.
