Webster Celebrates 40 Years in K.C. with 40 Volunteers Project

| October 19, 2011

Webster University will celebrate 40 years in Kansas City in 2012. In honor of that milestone and to fulfill the campus’ anniversary motto “Dedicated to Kansas City,” the campus is looking for 40 individuals who will dedicate 40 hours of volunteering to a local charity/not-for-profit, in the name of Webster’s 40 years in K.C.

Campus staff will supply volunteers with a 40th anniversary t-shirt to wear whenever they go to their place for volunteering.

The project is open to all current and former staff and faculty members as well as students, alumni and friends of Webster K.C.

The 40 Hours project begins in November 2011 and ends in November 2012. There will be a “thank you” party in November 2012.

Volunteers can choose any local charity, and staff are happy to share a list of local charities and contact names that welcome Webster volunteers.

Pledge forms are available on campus or at 40Hours/40Volunteers [PDF file].
