Update to Webster Master Plan Initiative
Webster University has engaged Sasaki, the internationally recognized and celebrated planning and urban design firm with offices in Boston and San Francisco, to work with us as we develop our St. Louis campus master plan that will guide us for the next 15 years and beyond. A press release detailing this announcement will be distributed soon.
Sasaki is well known for its collaborative planning process. Their integrated approach to planning and design includes engaging the campus and community constituencies, strategic and academic planning, space needs analysis and sustainability ideas. These are all critical areas in Webster University’s transformation to the next level – the advancement of global academic excellence as we move toward our centennial in 2015.
Sasaki has completed over 400 master plans for colleges and universities across the U.S. and around the world. The planning process begins in September and is expected to take approximately one year to complete. Here is a link to the Sasaki website at www.sasaki.com if you’d like to learn more about the firm.
Provost and Senior Vice President Julian Schuster will lead the campus master plan initiative.
