More Hope for Japan Wristbands Ordered

| March 29, 2011

The Hope for Japan has ordered more fundraising wristbands. We will collect a donation of $3 for each wristband. All of the proceeds will be donated to the Japanese Red Cross and also Junior Chamber International, a St. Louis-based, United Nations-related organization.

Wristbands will be available at the Center for International Education in Loretto Hall Room 54, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and also the International Language and Culture (ILC) Department, Webster Hall Room 334 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Purchasing and wearing these wristbands is a way of showing solidarity and support for the Japanese people.

For those at extended campuses looking to participate, you can contact Noriko Yuasa, who left the following comment in the last Webster Today post on this effort:

Any individual, business or organization, who simply wishes to donate to the Hope for Japan Project without attending one of the donation sites and without receiving wristbands, can send a check made out to:

Webster University
Memo section: Hope for Japan
Address: Webster University
Attention Noriko Yuasa Art Dept.
470 E. Lockwood Ave.
Webster Groves, MO 63119

If you are from another campus and are wanting to sell wristbands, please contact me by email- yuasa@webster.edu and we can discuss possibilities. This started as a very small project with the Japanese Student Association, and is becoming large very fast thanks to everyone’s generosity.
