Patricia McEwen has been hired as a consultant in the College of Arts & Sciences for the 2012-13 academic year.

McEwen will assist Dean David Carl Wilson and Biological Sciences Chair Stephanie Schroeder by facilitating partnerships throughout the St. Louis science community for the purpose of providing more opportunities for internships and jobs for Webster science students.  She will also coordinate  planning for the new science building, will strengthen the Webster professional science masters programs, and will enhance the science component of the dean’s advisory board.

“Pat’s background as a scientist and academic will serve us well as we move forward with plans for expanding our science programs and building a new science building,” said Dean Wilson. “Among her duties, she will be seeking funding for start-up labs, internships for students, and advice from our Advisory Board members. She’ll also help assess facility and curriculum needs in our Department of Biological Sciences.

“I feel very lucky to have Pat with us during this crucial academic year.”
