Trying to plant the seeds of better health? Take time to explore your family tree from the roots up.  You may find that certain health conditions run in the family. For instance, you might discover a pattern of heart disease, asthma, diabetes or cancer or the presence of a genetic disorder such as sickle cell anemia. These particulars from the past and present can help you — and your doctor — better understand your current health risks.
