• Soccer Made In St. Louis, a new book written by Dave Lange, adjunct professor in the School of Communications, covers the history, tactics and evolution of the world’s most popular sport in America’s first soccer capital — St. Louis. Starting with the first reported game in 1875, the book details the teams, players and organizations who brought home national championships at every level of soccer. Lange is a former sports reporter for the St. Louis Globe-Democrat and now teaches public relations courses at Webster. The book is published by Reedy Press.

• Warren Rosenblum, History, Politics and International Relations, has been invited to deliver the annual Arthur B. and David B. His speech, “The Paradox of ‘Jewish Power:’ The Struggle Against Antisemitism in Pre-Hitler Germany” is free and open to the public at Brown’s Petteruti Lounge.

UPDATE: You can see video of Rosenblum’s talk here.

• Nicole Roach, director of the Old Post Office campus in downtown St. Louis, was selected by Delux Magazine as one of St. Louis’ Women Power Players of 2011. The honor appears in their October 2011 issue.
