| July 8, 2015

Tamara Gegg-LaPlume and Trezette Dixon of Webster’s Career Planning & Development Center represented Webster at the Purina event.

University career services professionals from across the United States recently visited the Nestle Purina headquarters in St. Louis for the global company’s 2nd annual VIPurina Day. Over 30 representatives from a variety of colleges and universities gathered to learn what makes Nestle Purina an industry leader, the career opportunities they offer qualified university students and alumni and why they’re ranked both locally and nationally as a “Best Place to Work.”

The event included a Pilot Plant Tour, Campus Tour, Overview and Q&A with Purina leaders and HR representatives and closed with a reception.

Representing Webster University was Tamara Gegg-LaPlume, director, Career Planning & Development Center and Trezette Dixon, assistant director, Employer Relations, Career Planning & Development Center.

Others attending included local universities like St. Louis University, Washington University, Truman State, University of Illinois, as well as representatives of universities across the country like George Washington University, University of Ohio, University of Alabama, University of Minnesota and many more.

“Events like this allow our University to further strengthen our corporate partnerships with organizations that have a local and global presence, resulting in valuable career opportunities, both national and international, for our students and alumni,” Dixon said.
