Webster University graduates from the Thailand campuses celebrated at a commencement ceremony held Sunday, May 10, near the University’s Hua Hin/Cha-Am campus at the Sheraton Hua Hin Resort & Spa.

While graduation ceremonies are always a special occasion for everyone involved, this year’s event took on extra significance as Webster University marked a major milestone in its proud history. As part of a global campaign to celebrate the University’s centennial year, Webster Thailand’s event was timed to coincide with similar ceremonies taking place at Webster University campuses around the world.

The 2015 Webster University graduates from the Thailand campuses hail from 23 different countries, joining a worldwide Webster class of 6,574 graduates from 110 countries.

Ratish Thakur, director of Webster University Thailand, congratulated the graduates on reaping the rewards of their hard work.

The commencement address was given by David R. Nardone, who serves as vice president of the American Chamber of Commerce in Thailand, and president and chief executive officer of Hemaraj Land and Development Public Company Limited.

The 102 graduates in Thailand hail from 23 countries and now join a global network of more than 176,000 fellow Webster University alumni around the world. Worldwide, the Webster University Class of 2015 has 6,574 graduates who call 110 different countries home.

Commencement at Webster University

Across the network of Webster campuses around the world, local ceremonies continue throughout the summer and into the fall depending on local schedule. The largest of these is in St. Louis, where Webster University was founded in 1915, and where its 96th commencement ceremony was held at The Muny in Forest Park. In this centennial year, 6,574 graduates from 110 countries are earning their degrees across the world.
