Polimenis on 2008 Financial Crisis and Asia-Pacific in Journal of Management Analytics

Vassilis Polimenis, business faculty member at Webster Vienna, published, “The Global Financial Crisis and its Transmission to Asia-Pacific” in the Journal of Management Analytics (pp. 266-284, 2014). The article studies the global 2008 financial crisis and the mechanisms of its transmission to the economies of the Asia-Pacific region. He finds evidence consistent with the theory of “decoupling” of China from the U.S. financial markets. The study finds the  emergence of fresh market integration that intertwines the US and AP markets only during the crisis, but not before.
