It’s that time again: The annual tradition of commencement ceremonies across Webster University‚Äôs worldwide network of campuses is now in full swing, with several ceremonies planned this weekend including the annual home campus ceremony on Saturday, May 9, at The Muny in Forest Park.

More are planned throughout the year depending on location and local schedule, though spring and summer comprise the “busy” season.

The Fort Sill, Oklahoma, campus location held its ceremony on April 23, with Brig. Gen. William Turner, field artillery commandant, as keynote speaker and Brig. Gen. Mike Callan (ret., USAF), associate vice president and head of the Office of Military Affairs, representing Webster.

The Fort Sill graduation event was a combined school graduation recognition. Many from this year’s class of 49 at Webster Fort Sill are actively deployed and/or relocated, but 11 were able to participate in the combined school ceremony.

Overall throughout the worldwide network of Webster University campuses, 6,574 are graduating this academic year. They represent 110 countries and 49 U.S. states, plus the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands. Among military students, 66 of this year’s graduates are currently stationed overseas.

The annual St. Louis commencement at The Muny is the largest of these annual celebrations, welcoming graduates and their guests, friends and families from the St. Louis campuses and as well as extended campus locations and online.
