Windows 7 Update: Current issues, upcoming migrations

| April 28, 2015

As of April 24, the Windows 7 Team has migrated 398 PCs out of the total 2,500. 131 machines were migrated last week (April 20-24) including Career Services, Public Safety, Housing and Res Tech, Student Health Services, Counseling and Life Development (home campus) and the Old Post Office (Gateway Campus), Ft. Sam Houston, San Antonio, Lackland AFB, Patrick AFB and Melbourne.

Current Issues

  • Printer – Users unable to print; there are problems when adding more than one printer to user configuration; testing in process to identify root cause and resolution.
  • Reporting – Users unable to save files on Webster1 to download to their PC’s; a resolution has been identified, will be tested for implemented post-migration; interim solution is being evaluated while users are being migrated.
