Snapshot: EU energy advisor, Oxford professor talks policy at Webster Vienna

A full house at Webster Vienna’s Palais Wenkheim heard Dieter Helm, Oxford professor and special advisor to the European Commissioner for Energy, discuss energy policy and security.

Webster University’s Vienna campus was host to a lecture and Q&A this month with Dieter Helm, professor of energy policy at the University of Oxford and special advisor to the European Commissioner for Energy.

Helm was welcomed by Arthur Hirsh, director of Webster Vienna, Private University. The event was organized and moderated by Samuel R. Schubert, professor in the International Relations Department at Webster Vienna.

In Helm’s presentation, the author of The Carbon Crunch and Natural Capital mainly addressed five questions about the European Energy Union, including energy security and markets, and the impact on carbon targets.
