The Webster University San Antonio Metro campus location was host to the preliminary round of an International Business Plan Competition on Tuesday, April 14.

The competition, a program run by the Free Trade Alliance San Antonio, is for both graduate and undergraduate students.

Webster San Antonio was the site of the initial elimination round of the four-month competition, which gathers 96 students in teams representing 16 universities from Texas and Mexico to compete for more than $20,000 in cash prizes.

The student teams worked with an executive level mentor for eight weeks of intense research, planning and decision-making to develop a business plan with an international focus which addressed environmental sustainability.

The top four graduate and undergraduate teams from the initial elimination round moved on to the final round of competition which is scheduled for Friday, April 17.
