Interdisciplinary Science Building Plans Move Forward

| April 7, 2015

To the Webster University community:

Monday evening, Webster University submitted plans for the Interdisciplinary Science Building to the Plan Commission of the City of Webster Groves. Mara Perry, director of Planning & Development, presented the plans, and the presentation was positive.

Commission members had some questions relating to the parking, the progress of the left turn lane, and the approximate time the University plans to begin the project. The vote was called for on motion, and with no formal comments, the motion passed unanimously. After final approvals of the facility design, we will be able to move forward with the project based on this action, with no requirement for City Council’s formal approval.

We wanted to let the University community know of this major progress toward achieving the goals of providing facilities that support our academic programs and meet students’ needs.
