Carol Jackson Adams, associate vice president in Academic Affairs, has accepted a position as the associate vice president for University Affairs and dean of University College at the University of North Georgia, a multi-campus public institution and one of six senior military colleges in the United States. Based at the Gainesville campus, she will oversee the associate’s degree program and related student support services. Adams will begin her new position June 1.

Adams joined Webster University in June 2008 as the associate vice president for Academic Affairs over the Midwest Region, comprised of 19 campus locations at that time. In 2013, she assumed leadership of 31 of the domestic extended campuses. She chaired the first complete analysis of program offerings, enrollment and adjunct faculty at all domestic extended campuses.

“Since I arrived at Webster, the background and strategic historical viewpoints Carol provided for my extended site visits made them meaningful and expanded my understanding of the Webster network,” said President Elizabeth (Beth) J. Stroble.

“Carol’s leadership has been invaluable in supporting our site directors overall, and on specific projects such as the College of Arts & Sciences’ upcoming CACREP accreditation of the Counseling program in South Carolina,” said Julian Z. Schuster, Webster’s provost, senior vice president and chief operating officer. “We wish her well and thank her for her service to Webster and our many military and adult students across the United States.”

Please join Webster University colleagues in wishing Adams the best in her future endeavors at a reception Monday, May 4, 3-4:30 p.m. in Sunnen Lounge.
