Counseling & Life Development April Events: Raising awareness on sexual assault

Join us for the annual “Take Back the Day” event on Monday, April 6, from noon-3 p.m. on the Quad. This event will feature programs to help raise campus awareness about sexual violence, harassment, bullying and unhealthy relationships. Other programs will also be offered throughout the month of April.

A variety of groups will be represented at the “Take Back the Day” event including: the Webster Groves Police Department, the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, YWCA, Mary Kay, Campus Advocate, Webster Counseling, Health Services, Webster Public Safety and Safe Connections.

  • Opening and advocate discussion, noon
  • Public safety presentation and demonstration, 12:15 p.m.
  • Webster Groves Police presentation, 12:30 p.m.
  • Prosecuting Attorney’s Office presentation, 1 p.m.
  • Safe Connections presentation, 1:30 p.m.
  • YWCA presentation, 2 p.m.
  • Closing, 3 p.m.

Informational booths will be set-up from Safe Connections, Public Safety, YWCA and Health Services & Counseling. The Mary Kay Domestic Violence program will be present throughout the event with information and will also feature giveaways.

Join us for your chance to rally and walk around the quad speaking out against sexual violence against men and women. Additional activities include signature pledges for nonviolence, T-shirt decorating and snacks will be also provided. Join us to learn, listen and get involved!
