French Poetry and Dance Discussion, ‘French Connections’ Preview March 27

Karlovsky & Company performers will preview¬† “French Connections” and discuss French dance and poetry at the Loretto-Hilton March 27.

Experience French dance and poetry as Karlovsky & Company Dance offers a preview of their upcoming “French Connections” concert at COCA.

Dawn Karlovsky, director of Karlovsky & Company Dance, will be joined by Lionel Cuille, the Jane and Bruce Robert Chair in French and Francophone Studies in the College of Arts & Sciences, for a special evening of discussion and performance on Friday, March 27, in the Loretto-Hilton Center for the Performing Arts at Webster University.

Some of the performers from “French Connections,” which will be performed at COCA April 3-4, will be on hand to discuss the poetry from the show and share insight on collaboration between French and American dancers.

The reception begins at 6 p.m., with presentations beginning at 6:30. The event includes light hor d’oeuvres and beverages. A $10 donation is suggested.

The event is jointly hosted by Webster’s Centre Francophone, Department of Dance, and Department of International Languages and Cultures, as well as Karlovsky & Company Dance.
