Jennifer McQuay has enjoyed meaningful experiences in multiple roles as a Webster University employee.

After joining Webster about five years ago as an admission associate in the processing department, last year she was appointed Call Center supervisor at the home campus in Webster Groves, Missouri. Her success led to a promotion supervising the coordinator positions, and has earned her the Employee Spotlight Award in November.

McQuay professes a strong love for the University and the people she is privileged to work with everyday. “I love my amazing co-workers who make the job fun,” she said. “When you come to work and have a common goal to meet, working towards the goal with great team members makes all the difference.”

Positive Attitude, Helping Hand

Along with working around wonderful people, McQuay enjoys the opportunities in assisting students and their families with the application process as well as a multitude of other questions and concerns. Her exemplary performance reflects the efforts of her positive attitude, her nominators said. Through personal attention and valiant effort, she not only provides help for students, but also gets to enjoy a degree of personal satisfaction.

“College is a huge investment, and giving [students and families] peace of mind and alleviating concerns is always great,” she said. McQuay’s personal approach provides the feeling, from the very beginning, that they are a student and not just a number, her nominator said.

Outside of her position, McQuay enjoys health and wellness. She just completed her bachelor’s degree in Health and Wellness from Kaplan University. She also serves on the Webster Wellness Committee and has participated in a variety of Wellness activities, including the “Mile by Mile Marathon” and the “Great American Smoke Out.”

McQuay is very thankful for the recognition of the Spotlight Award, and tips her hat to her colleagues: “A huge thank you to everyone who has supported and believed in me.”
