Counseling & Life Development Upcoming Events

| February 26, 2015

Webster University’s Counseling & Life Development staff are available to assist all current Webster University students, faculty and staff. The Counseling & Life Development and Student Health Services departments are offering many upcoming events and activities during March and April.

Upcoming events include:

Sign The Pledge

“The Pledge” is a vow against sexual harassment, bullying of any kind or sexual assault. The Pledge is a vow to be committed to a safe campus. Come pick up a ribbon and pledge for action. Stop by the peer educator booths located in Emerson Library, Sverdrup Building and the University Center Commons to sign.

April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month

Join Counseling Life & Development, Health Services and Public Safety during Sexual Assault Awareness month to raise awareness and come together as a community. Sexual Assault Awareness programs planned for April include:

  • April 3 – Opening Ceremony
  • April 6 – Take Back the Day
  • April 10 – Bandanna Project
  • April 13 – Walk a Mile in Her Shoes

Locations and times for these events will be announced closer to April.

Wednesdays: Restorative Yoga

Yoga classes are held weekly in the Alumni House each Wednesday from 12-12:45 p.m.

Yoga is open to all and is great for stress relief, anxiety problems and depression. An additional yoga clinic will be offered on Wednesday, March 4, from 2-3 p.m. in the University Center Sunnen Lounge to help students relieve the stress of finals week.

If you have questions about these events, contact Gladys Smith, assistant director Counseling & Life Development, at gmsmith@webster.edu.
