| February 16, 2015

A message from President Elizabeth (Beth) Stroble and Provost Julian Schuster to the Webster University community:

It is with great sadness that we inform you of a tragedy in the Webster community. Webster Geneva student Sarangerel Dorligjav and former student Sereeter Bat-Erdene died in the same accident while on a private trip in Istanbul, Turkey.

Sarangerel, from Mongolia, was studying Business and International Relations. Sereeter, also from Mongolia, studied at Webster in 2012-13 majoring in Business. We extend deepest sympathy to Sarangerel’s and Sereeter’s families and relatives, and we express our condolences to all who knew them.

Those in the Webster Geneva community may contact Ros Thomas at 079 442 2701 or studentcounseling@hotmail.com to identify and/or request counseling support. The campus will hold a candle vigil and reflection in Sarangerel and Sereeter’s memory Monday, Feb. 16, at 1-2 p.m. local time.

Elizabeth (Beth) J. Stroble, President
Julian Z. Schuster, Provost, Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer
