The Department of Dance in the Leigh Gerdine College of Fine Arts at Webster University will present an exciting five-day program for intermediate and advanced high school aged students as well as its first annual three-day program for middle school students.

Both programs will take place in the Jean and Wells Hobler Center for Dance in the Loretto-Hilton Center on Webster’s home campus in Webster Groves.

Dancers will be challenged technically and artistically through a wide variety of classes taught by Webster faculty and professional artists from local companies.

In addition to daily ballet and modern classes, students will have the opportunity to be exposed to jazz, musical theatre dance, aerial, improvisation, tap and hip-hop. Daily discussions will explore topics important to aspiring dancers such as nutrition, injury prevention and treatment, and the life of a professional dancer.

  • The Junior Summer Dance Intensive (students entering 6th-8th grade in the fall of 2015) will be July 22-24, 2015.
  • The Summer Dance Intensive (students entering 9th grade and above in the fall of 2015) will be July 27-31, 2015.

Housing is available on Webster University’s campus for the 5-day intensive at an affordable price.
