The School of Education’s Ted Green will lead discussion on Creating Experiential Lessons at the February Reflective Teaching Community meeting.

Are you interested in providing learning opportunities for your students outside of the classroom? Are you looking for ways to bring “the real world” into your students’ learning experiences? Do you want to help transform your students’ beliefs about learning and their own capabilities?

Come join the Reflective Teaching Community for its first meeting of the spring semester, where we will explore strategies that address these questions and more as we continue to focus on aspects of Transformational Teaching. This month Ted Green will lead the discussion on Creating Experiential Lessons – where the teacher designs and provides opportunities for real world, authentic learning experiences that lead to deeper learning and transforms students’ perceptions about their self-efficacy.

Join us Friday, Feb. 6, 12 – 1 p.m. at the Faculty Development Center.

We’ll be ordering pizza to feed those who attend, as well as sending participants resources prior to the meeting, so please RSVP by email to Chris Jones at the Faculty Development Center ( If you can’t attend but are interested in the topic, send Chris an email, he’ll be happy to share those resources with you as well. We hope to see you there!
