Gorloks Baseball Ranked 11th in Nation in Preseason Poll

Congratulations to the Baseball Gorloks for their fifth straight SLIAC Championship.

The Gorloks won their fifth straight SLIAC Championship in 2014.

The Webster University baseball team has been ranked 11th in the nation in the 2015 Collegiate Baseball D3 pre-season poll. The Gorloks received 245 points in the poll, held by Collegiate Baseball Newspaper.

Webster finished the 2014 season with a 37-7 overall record, winning its fifth consecutive SLIAC Championship. The Gorloks went undefeated in conference play, going 25-0, and reaching the #1 ranking in Division III baseball during the season for the first time in program history. Webster finished eighth in the final Collegiate Baseball poll in 2014.

The Gorloks were picked seventh in Collegiate Baseball’s 2014 pre-season poll and were picked eighth by D3baseball.com. The D3baseball.com poll for 2015 will come out in January.

Defending Division III Champion Wisconsin-Whitewater was picked first in the preseason poll, receiving 273 points. For the full Collegiate Baseball 2015 pre-season poll, click here.
