Around Webster: Rodriguez on Dance St. Louis Board; Hubenschmidt on ‘Into Africa,’ global library infrastructure

Hubenschmidt on Library Infrastructure for Global University

Holly Hubenschmidt, head of Instruction, Liaison, & Reference Services at the Webster University Library, was an invited speaker at the fall meeting of the St. Louis Medical Librarians.

Her presentation, “Into Africa: The Library as Critical Infrastructure for a University Growing Globally,” focused on establishing a library and its opening day collection at the Ghana campus, complying with the accreditation processes that involved the library, and welcoming Kodjo Antwi, Library Director at Webster University Ghana Campus, to the Webster University Library team.

Rodríguez Elected to Dance St. Louis Board

Guillermo (Guillo) Rodríguez, director of International Projects and Study Abroad, was elected to serve a three-year term on the board of directors for Dance St. Louis. Founded in 1966, Dance St. Louis is widely recognized as the leading dance presenter in St. Louis, the Midwest and by the professional dance community.

The board makes policy decisions, authorizes rule making and oversees Dance St. Louis’ operations. Rodriguez joins Peter Sargent, dean of the Leigh Gerdine College of Fine Arts, on the Dance St. Louis board.
