Dean's Award for Service

In St. Louis, Wratchford and Diekhoff celebrate their Dean’s Award for Service for Fall II 2014

Four students have been selected to receive the Dean’s Award for Service for Fall 2. The award recipients are: Marissa Diekhoff, Shelby Wratchford, Lucas Amorelli Kornexl, and Ivee Sanasinh.

To be considered for the Dean’s Award one must be nominated by a member of the Webster University community for performing a valuable service. The term “service” encompasses a broad range of contributions made by students, both on- and off-campus.

Marissa Diekhoff, a senior photography and international relations double major from Bloomington, Illinois, was nominated by Billy Ratz, Student Ambassador advisor. She was nominated for her leadership as vice president of Student Ambassadors, serving as student chair for the CASE ASAP Network Convention held in St. Louis, and for coordinating I Heart Webster Week and the launch of Project Gorlok in conjunction with SGA.

Shelby Wratchford, a freshman art and French double major from Fults, Illinois, was nominated by Lionel Cuille, assistant professor of French. She was nominated for her service to the Centre Francophone, planning events for both the Art and French departments.

Lucas Amorelli Kornexl, a senior international relations major from Austria at our Vienna campus, was nominated by Jesse Alexander, student community coordinator at the Vienna campus. He was nominated for his leadership as the primary organizer of Vienna’s hugely successful Model UN, one of the most prominent student-driven events Webster Vienna has ever had.

Ivee Sanasinh, a senior business administration major from Salina, Kansas, at the Vienna campus, was nominated by Jesse Alexander, student community coordinator at the Vienna campus. He was nominated for his leadership as SGA president, spearheading a major transition in the role of student government at the Vienna campus and sponsoring a number of high-impact campus events.

Up to four students are recognized each term with the Dean’s Service Award. The awards will be presented at programs to be held in late December in St. Louis and Vienna.
