Webster Wellness New Beginnings: Try the Y, Weight Watchers, Employee Reimbursement Program

‘Tis the season to think about your wellness! Webster Wellness invites you to consider the following and wishes you the best as you pursue your wellness goals during the holidays and into 2015.

Try the YMCA

Through Dec. 26, Webster Wellness has partnered with YMCA of Greater St. Louis and YMCA of Southwest Illinois to offer Webster University faculty and staff a corporate membership, which includes a special “Try the Y” period through Dec. 26 with 100 percent off the joining fee and 100 percent off the first full month’s dues.

Let’s bring Weight Watchers to Work

With the Weight Watchers At Work Meeting Series, you can get:

  • Guidance from a leader who has lost weight with Weight Watchers
  • Access to e Tools, our Internet weight-loss companion, FREE
  • Group support from others who understand the workplace environment best

2015 Employee Reimbursement Program

This program once again provides financial support to employees in UHC (and your covered dependents) for participation in health promotions programs or memberships (e.g. Weight Watchers, Club Fitness, YMCA, etc.), as well as registration fees for health-related events (e.g. marathons, 5K races, Zumba classes, etc.) beginning in January 2015.

Reimbursement requests should be sent to wellness@webster.edu at any time and will be considered in the order received. Employees will be required to submit proof of purchase and registration (if applicable), as well as proof of attendance/participation.  An employee’s reimbursement will not exceed 50 percent of the total cost for the membership/event during that session.  Employees may apply for multiple events/programs, but may only receive up to $100 per session.

Reimbursements will be made through the payroll process following each session below and are subject to the employee’s designated tax rate.

  • Session 1: Jan. 1 – March 31, 2015
  • Session 2: April 1 – June 30, 2015
  • Session 3: July 1 – Sept. 30, 2015
  • Session 4: Oct. 1 – Dec. 31, 2015
