This marks their second-straight appearance in the NCAA postseason and 14th overall appearance. Chicago finished second in the University Athletic Association (UAA) at 4-2-1 with Washington University winning the UAA league title.

The winner on Saturday will take on the victor of the other Regional semi-final, Augsburg College vs. University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. The Regional championship will be at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 16.
