Come cheer on the Webster men’s and women’s soccer teams Nov. 5-6, as they play host for the first round games in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.

Webster University’s women’s and men’s soccer teams will host first round games in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) Nov. 5-6, at the Soccer Park in Fenton, Missouri. Both teams gained hosting privileges with their first place finishes in the SLIAC, and will also host the championship games if they advance.

Webster University students with a Webster ID will receive free admission to the games. Regular ticket costs are $5 for adults and $2 for children (ages 5-16) and students with other SLIAC institutional IDs. Fans under age 5 will receive free admission.

Women’s Game

The women’s soccer team will play Westminster College at 6 p.m. on Nov. 5.

The Gorloks were 9-0 in the SLIAC for a second straight season, winning or sharing first place in the conference for a third straight season. Webster tied for first in 2012, and won the title outright in 2013 and 2014 with its undefeated finishes. The Gorloks ended SLIAC play in 2014 with a 19-game conference win streak, extending back to the 2012 season. Webster crawled into teams receiving ‘other votes’ in this week’s Division III Soccer ‘Top 25’ and were ranked 10th in the most recent Central Region rankings.

Men’s Game

The men’s soccer team will play Fontbonne University at 7 p.m. on Nov. 6.

The Gorloks defeated the Griffins, 1-0, on Nov. 1, to wrap up an unbeaten conference season at 8-0-1. Webster is 10-8-2 overall. Webster became the first SLIAC men’s soccer team to win or share a conference title for three straight seasons. The Gorloks won outright in 2012, and tied for first in 2013 before finishing alone at the top this season.
